Intakes, Found Animals & Owner Surrenders
Thank you for considering Anna's Angels Dog Rescue for help.
We know how difficult it can be to witness an animal in need, and we wish we could help every one of them. We are committed to saving lives, but as a foster-based, non-government-funded rescue, our resources, funding, and foster homes are limited. This means we must prioritize cases based on the resources available to us. We truly appreciate your advocacy and support for animals in need.
Please review the following guidelines for our intake process to ensure we can assist effectively.
Important Note:
This page is NOT for those looking to rehome their adopted Anna’s Angels Dog. If you need help with your adopted AADR dog, please email helpteam.aadr@gmail.com, and see our Rehome Process HERE. Dogs adopted from Anna's Angels Dog Rescue must be returned to us if they can no longer stay in their current home. We accept dogs back into our care, ensuring they receive the support they need.
Intake Eligibility Criteria
This is Step 1 in the Intake Process.
All intake requests must be submitted through our online form. This helps us learn about the dog and their needs.
Questions can be directed to intake.aadr@gmail.com

Please Note:
-
We’re unable to assist with intake inquiries outside of our Intake team (intake.aadr@gmail.com).
-
We will reach out via email (check your inbox & junk folder for our reply).
Vaccine Requirements
All dogs need DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (not sourced from feed stores). If assistance is needed, we can provide these vaccines, but the dog must visit our facility in Silsbee or partner vet clinic, and official vaccination records must be presented to rescue .
Cats
We are a Dog Rescue only and unfortunately, we cannot intake cats.
Foster Commitment
We are a foster-based Rescue. We can only intake dogs if you are able to foster the dog are in/can transport locally in Texas in the Silsbee, Lumberton, Beaumont areas.
Foster families must commit to caring for the dog indefinitely until adoption.

We do not have alternative foster homes or placements available for the dog.
Behavioral Eligibility
We wish we could help every animal, but unfortunately, we may not be able to take in pets with certain behavioural issues.
Dogs must be behaviourally sound, with no history of biting humans or attacking other pets.
Safety is a top priority.
Transportation
We do require you have a means of transportation. This is essential for meet ups with the team in Silsbee , Vet appointments, meet-and-greets, emergencies and drop off to transport.
Additional Resources
While we wish we could help every animal, the reality is that resources, funding, and foster availability limit our capacity. Please also consider these alternatives:
-
Local Shelters & Humane Societies: Contact organizations in your area for support.
-
Rehoming Platforms: Try tools like Rehome by Adopt-a-Pet to connect pets with loving homes.
-
Fundraising for Care: Raising funds can open more opportunities for care and placement.
