Hi all!!
This is Ruger (formerly Pepples) Who was rescued in Texas and adopted to us through Anna’s Angels back in 2019 I believe. He was 13 weeks when he came to us. We drove 4 hours from Nova Scotia to the border to get him. He lives with us on the farm (he LOVES his cows), with his brother Finley and two cats.
He is a Heeler/ Jack Russel mix.
Roots is the absolute best boy- while he never clicked into any of his herding instincts. He’s the sweetest boy , hates affection, loves his toys and to play and will 100% tackle anything/anybody to get to the barn. We love him so much and will adopt through the agency again and again when the time is right in the future

I don't even know where to start with Moose.. he's an American bully and the biggest ball of love you'll ever meet. His human kids are his entire world (after momma of course) he's the most patient and wonderful dog with the kids and truly adores them with every part of him. He has to make sure they're all okay before he starts his day.. and even though he's lost his hearing with his older age, he's still the bestest boy and we couldn't be happier with our little (actually maaasive) Texan.. and like a true Canadian, he loves the winter and snow.. even if he gets cold faster than the rest of us hahah

Waffle was adopted in 2019 and has continued to thrive in Canada. He has earned titles as a Novice Trick Dog with CKC, Starter Games Agility Dog of Canada, Canine Good Neighbour and has recently completed classes in scent detection. He is also trialing in CKC Rally Obedience in July. He has a very full calendar but mostly enjoys snuggling.

This is Ollie the day after he arrived on May 18/2023. He has grown a lot since he came and he's such a good boy. He never barks unless someome comes in the yard, he's great with my nieces (they tire him out), loves his Grammy and Grampy, loves his naps and watching TV. He doesn't really like going in the car but will for treats, knows how to shake/sit and high five (usually uses two paws), doesn't like the bath and loves seeing everyone at the vet. He likes bananas/apples/blueberries/strawberries, loves his treats and destroying his toys. He is great in his kennel in the day while I'm at work and loves sleeping in bed with me at night (sometimes even under the covers). He also loves to watch the cars go by from the back of the couch (pretty sure he's part cat), loves to cuddle with you and be by your side and seems quite interested in the neighbors cows. I also keep in contact with his foster mom too. He's had both of his heartworm tests done and they came back negative. Our vet has been very helpful with everything. I'm so thankful to Anna's and all their volunteers. Ollie has been such an amazing pup and I'm so happy to be his mom. I have millions of photos, lol and he also has his own Instagram page.

Mr Kellan .. this boy is the sweetest, most affectionate snuggle bug!! He’s been with us since the end of March. He was supposed to be a 7-day foster, and once we looked into those sweet eyes it was game over!! There was no way we could let him go. He quickly fit in with our family and now spends his days lounging on the couch, running in his big back yard. He LOVES the car - like refuses to get out when we get home and he will try to get into anyyyy vehicle he can get close to
Can’t imagine him anywhere but with us

When you tell people you have an adopted rescue dog their initial response is “oh, you never know what you’re going to get - you’re lucky it worked out.” But, I’d say that is the potential of any dog really, whether from a breeder or a rescue. However, Anna's Angels Dog Rescue does their best to set up a successful adoption. They listen to what you’re looking for and are honest if they think a dog you’re interested in isn’t a match. I was looking at different dogs when they introduced me to Sugar - bigger than I thought about, more Shepherd than I thought about, but her traits and personality were bang on what I hoped for. She had a wonderful foster home, before coming to me and I, again, praise the Anna’s rescue for their care and understanding of the dog they made mine. We are just over a year together and she’s such a sweet, confident, gregarious, athletic, smart girl that we’re thrilled who joined our pack

This is Moxie (formally Marcie) living her best life in rural Nova Scotia. She was adopted September 2023 after being fostered by my cousin (one of Anna’s angels amazing foster homes!). She has proven herself a very adept mouser, squirrel chaser, bug hunter and guard dog spending some of the early morning hours watching out the window for deer and bear coming through her yard. Moxie(Mox for short) is a pit, Pyrenees, staffy, lab weighing in at only 50lbs she’s the smallest, fastest and easiest dog I have ever owned. She has been amazing with toddlers, cats and other dogs but can be a bit boisterous for more mellow dogs. She has been working on jogging beside her main man on runs, and the bike, and is doing very well! Her obedience training is coming along great allowing her more off leash freedom while hiking the 100+ acre woodlot she now lives in. She’s been a very sweet and loving girl since day one who has really come into her own the last few months. I would definitely adopt again, Anna’s angels pull some amazing dogs out of some less then ideal situations.

Ebony's been with us for almost a year and she has fit right in since the beginning! She loves to snuggle and receive belly rubs. She's energetic and loves to walk. She's been keeping up with us on little hikes. She likes the snow but not the rain and she's been spending summer weekends running around on the beach! Such a good girl. Couldn't have imagined a better dog for our fam. The kids still say to me, "We love Ebony, thanks for getting her." And I say thanks to Anna's Angels! I Hope we give her as much joy and she gives us!

Leo and Bree from Texas living their best life. Sleeping in the bed under the covers, a bed by the fire on a cold day, a yard to chase each other in, never having to worry about when they will be fed, and cuddles and love every day. In return, the joy they bring us is priceless. A big thank you to Anna's Angels.
